Turkish Airlines announced it will launch a new route to Cambodia's capital city Phnom Penh before year's end.


From December 10, the Turkish national airline will operate three-weekly flights to Phnom Penh from Istanbul via Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (outbound – Sunday, Wednesday, Friday/return – Monday, Thursday, Saturday) 


Commenting on the launch of the new route, Turkish Airlines' Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee Ahmet Bolat said: “As Turkish Airlines, we continuously expand our network in Asia and strengthen our connections with strategic destinations in the region. The launch of Phnom Penh flights marks a significant step forward in this goal. Our flights to Cambodia will create new opportunities for both tourism and business. Additionally, as the only European carrier flying to this destination, we will further solidify our leadership in the region.” 


With the addition of Phnom Penh, Turkish Airlines will expand its network in Southeast Asia to 11 cities in seven countires in the region.
